An original portrait is a special gift, a split second borrowed from the present and given to the future.  As an object of beauty it can add a feeling of warmth and charm to a room, as a symbol of a shared relationship it can stir deep emotions or elevate our spirit and as a remembrance it can portray and capture the look of places and faces we hold dear.

To achieve this, I constantly strive in my work to go beyond the easy formula.  I endeavor to lift the mask we often show the world, if only for a fleeting moment.  I know when others see us in the light they respond, because what is revealed is the tenuous link we all share, our humanity and love.   That’s what every portrait I create is about.
